Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of India to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Vikram Misri, who had completed his tour of duty, at Zeyathiri Beikman on Konmyinttha in Yangon this morning.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar was accompanied by the Indian Army Attaché and the Indian Naval Attaché to Myanmar and officials.
At the meeting, they frankly discussed success of the goodwill visit of the Indian President to Myanmar, situation of improvement in friendly relations between the two countries and two armed forces based on close cooperation between the two armed forces, support of India to Myanmar over challenges and difficulties Myanmar is facing, wide cooperation in border security, peace and stability and development between the two countries, cooperation in training affairs between the two armed forces, and exchange of goodwill visits between servicemen at different levels in addition to high level leaders in order to further promote friendly ties.
The Senior General and the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar posed for group photo together with those present after exchanging commemorative gifts.
