Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received retired Admiral Choi Yoon-hee who is Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea at Bayintnaung Villa, here, this afternoon.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Soe Htut from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The retired Admiral who is Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea was accompanied by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Lee Sang-hwa and Military Attaché Colonel HWANG Sandeok and officials.
At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on efforts to promote friendly relations between two armed forces of both countries,construction of a new school building by Korea at No 3 Basic Education High School in Thanlyin, construction for further plans, assistance of Korea in education, social and economic development of Myanmar,support of Myanmar for ensuring eternal peace of Korean Peninsula and for being nuclear free zone,and exchange of goodwill visits at different levels for further promoting friendly ties between the two armed forces.
After the meeting, the Senior General and retired Admiral Choi Yoon-hee who is Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea had group documentary photo taken after exchanging commemorative gifts.
