Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr. Ryuta SOMETAYA, chief of Japan’s Asahi Shimbun Yangon Bureau,at Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw this morning and replied to queries raised by the foreign news agency.
The Senior General answered the questions regarding the Tatmadaw’s stand on the amendment to the 2008 Constitution, 25 percent Tatmadaw representatives in the parliament and continued participation,accusations of the international community against the Tatmadaw and the government over the Bengali issue in Rakhine State without knowing true situations,Tatmadaw’s ongoing efforts to urge the ethnic armed groups to sign the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) and support from Japan and China in Myanmar’s peace process and regional development.
