Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Southern Command and officials, paid homage to Layhsu Datpyaw Shwehsandaw Pagoda in Pyay this evening.
First, the Senior General and wife paid obeisance and offered flowers, water and oil lights to the Buddha Image of the pagoda. They then paid homage to the pagoda clockwise.
Then, the Senior General and wife presented cash donation for the general renovation of the pagoda through the Pagoda Board of Trustees, which in turn presented the picture of the pagoda as a Dhamma gift to them. The Senior General signed the visitors’ book.
