Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Raphael Nageli, Head of Asia-Pacific Division of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here,this afternoon.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Head of Asia-Pacific Division of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland was accompanied by Ambassador of Switzerland to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Tim Enderlin and officials.
They held discussions in a cordial manner on assistance of Switzerland in democratization process in Myanmar and internal peace process and plans of its further assistance,needs of Tatmadaw members to abide by not only inconsiderable points of disciplines but also laws,rules and regulations on a daily basis, fine traditions of the Tatmadaw in taking action without impunity for those who did not follow the disciplines and broke the laws,situation of ceasefire which was declared for the first time during the period of more than 70 years by the Tatmadaw starting from 21 December 2018 with the purpose of actually achieving eternal peace after ending the internal armed conflicts, conditions of armed ethnic groups to sign the NCA, humanitarian aid in Myanmar and assistance for regional development processes, and needs of international community to know information of realities related to Myanmar.
