Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is in China on goodwill visit, held talks with member of China’s Central Military Commission and Defence Minister Gen. Wei Fenghe. Then, the latter hosted the dinner at Wan Liu Tang Hall of Daioyutai State Guest House in Beijing this evening.
Present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Myanmar Ambassador to China U Thit Lin Ohn, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo and senior military officers from the Office of Commander-in-Chief(Army), Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Tint Hsan. Gen. Wei Fenghe was accompanied by senior military officers from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
During the meeting, Gen. Wei Fenghe said the goodwill visit of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services is the important one for both sides. China places emphasis on this goodwill visit. The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services is honoured for the leadership in the development of State and Tatmadaw. Paukphaw and brotherly relations exist between China and Myanmar. China has been rapidly developing and it has been a powerful country. Similarly, the development of Myanmar is important for China. It is required to further improve bilateral relations. China will continue rendering assistance for the development of Myanmar. Ensuring eternally stable and peaceful border is the main requirement for China. China would neither accept nor allow demands by means of armed attacks and opposition.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said China is desirous of the stability and peace in Myanmar according to the discussions during the goodwill visit. The way to China’s cooperation is always open for the development of Myanmar. It was learnt that China is willing to further strengthen goodwill and friendship between the two armed forces of the two countries. The discussions made during the goodwill visit ensured positivity for goodwill and friendship between the two armed forces and two countries. Tatmadaw’s main requirement is stability and peace for the country. He is desirous of being successful in China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative. The conflicts taking place on the border region have mutual effect. The Myanmar Tatmadaw would not accept the matters having effects on neighboring countries and fully cooperate with China.
After the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Gen. Wei Fenghe posed for a documentary photo. Then, Gen. Wei Fenghe hosted the dinner to the Myanmar Tatmadaw good-will delegation led by the Senior General.
