Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Japanese Ambassador was accompanied by Japanese embassy officials.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on support of Japan in the international arena for efforts of the government and the Tatmadaw in solving problems which occurred in Buthidaung-Maungtaw region of Rakhine State, formation of the independent commission of inquiry for Bengali issue which happened in Rakhine State, and endeavours of the Tatmadaw for achieving internal peace of Myanmar.
