The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was in Saint Petersburg at the invitation of Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shouigu and Russia-Myanmar Military Technological Cooperation Committee, left Pulkovo-3 Airport on 26 April evening.
The delegation was seen off at the airport by Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to the Russian Federation Commodore Kyaw Soe Moe, Commander Dmitry Krainov from the Russian Navy and officials.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw Airport this afternoon where they were welcomed back by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Nikolay A. Listopadov, the deputy head of mission and officials.
Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Lt-Gen Min Naing and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army), who accompanied the Senior General as delegation members also arrived back. During the visit, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended and participated in the 8th Moscow Conference on international Security, met the government of the Russian Federation and military leaders and visited plants and factories in Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Murom, Saint Petersburg and Moscow, Baikal Lake, the world largest freshwater lake, and other significant places in Russia.
