Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Defence Secretary of India H.E. Mr. Sanjay Mitra at the Parlour of Bayintnuang Villa here this morning.
Present together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Defence Secretary of India was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Saurabh Kumar, senior military officers, the military attaché and official from the Indian Defence Ministry.
At the call, both sides exchanged views on progressive friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and between the two armed forces as Myanmar and India are good neighbours, stands in conformity with five principles of peaceful coexistence which were agreed by leaders of the two countries in the previous time, collaborative efforts for the security, peace and stability and development at the borders of the two countries, cooperation in the respective sectors of army, navy and air force of the two armed forces and mutual goodwill visits.
