As an opening match in the second leg of Myanmar National League 2019, Shan United FC played against Chinland FC at Shan State sports ground in Taunggyi, Shan State, this afternoon. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing enjoyed the football match together with Shan State Chief Minister Dr Lin Htut, Commanderin-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Eastern Command Maj-Gen Lin Aung, cabinet members of the state government, managers and coaches of both football clubs, and fans.
During the first half of the football match, both clubs scored no goal but the match ended with a one-one draw till final whistle of the match although they made concerted efforts to win over each other. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented cash awards to those football clubs following the match.
