The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is on a goodwill visit in Visakhapatnam of the Republic of India left for Pune by special aircraft of Indian Armed Forces at about 8.30 am local standard time on 26 July and then arrived at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune by helicopter at 11 am local standard time. They were welcomed by officials from the National Defence Academy(NDA).
First, the Senior General and party met with trainee cadets from Myanmar Tatmadaw attending the National Defence Academy (NDA) and instructed them to systematically learn skill and knowledge subjects with utmost efforts.The Senior General cordially asked about attending the courses. Commandant Air Marshal IP Vipin and officials called on the Senior General and party at the commandant office and they discussed training affairs. The Senior General signed the visitors’ book and exchanged emblems with the commandant.
An official of the National Defence Academy (NDA) gave a power point presentation to the Senior General and party on brief history of the academy,attending of trainees from foreign countries including some trainees from Myanmar Tatmadaw, and year-wise training sessions. After hearing the presentation, the Senior General asked about things he wanted to know, and the commandant and officials replied to queries.
Next, the Senior General and party went round in the National Defence Academy(NDA) and viewed the hostels and the mess hall where they were conducted round by officials.
At the mess hall of the academy, Commandant Air Marshal IP Vipin hosted lunch to the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and gifts were exchanged.Cash awards were presented to the band of NDA that played songs before and during lunch.
Then, the Senior General and party visited TATA Motors Company in Pimpri. An official from the company briefed the delegation led by the Senior General on production process with a video clip.The Senior General asked for more information and gifts were exchanged.
