The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, who attended the closing ceremony of International Army Games-2019 held in the Russian Federation, paid a visit to the Russia Space System and the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy in Moscow this morning.
At the outset, the Senior General and party arrived at the Russia Space System where they were greeted and welcomed by Director Ivan KULTYSHEV and the responsible persons from various departments.Next, the Senior General and party heard of facts about the working processes of Space System,launching of satellites, control systems in global orbit, climate and natural disasters explained by the Russian officials and then asked for further information. Afterwards,the Senior General and party viewed round satellite communication control systems and progress of work in the Space System. They were conducted round by officials.The Senior General asked for further information. Upon the arrival at Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy, the Senior General and party were welcomed by officials.While the Senior General and party were observing booths, statues,recreation parks and space museums,they were conducted round by officials.Construction of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy started in 1939, and it was used as agricultural exhibition. It was used as the exhibition of the Soviet Union till 1986 and the exhibitions of the whole Russia after 2013. It stands within 50 positions on the list of world’s largest exhibitions. The exhibition is located on some 2,375,000 square metres of land. The exhibition is formed with 13 booths and about 75 buildings including arms booth,robot booth, technological booth,scale model of Moscow, education booth, historical booth, ceramic ware booth, airplane booth and aquarium. The Space Cosmos pavilion was opened in April 2018 to showcase more than 120 scale models of the space and more than 2,000 items of other equipment.The Space Cosmos pavilion displays the satellite replica firstly launched by Russia, the replica satellite in which dog Laika was sent as the first living animal into the space,the scale-model of Mir space station,step by step development of rockets and satellites launched by Russia to the space, and other displays which attract those interested in cosmology and those attending the aerospace and cosmological university.Admission is free to pay visits to the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy which is always crowded with globetrotters,observers, picnickers and those taking exercises.
