The prize-presentation ceremony of the 18th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare(DPRPW) of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) with the aim of preserving Myanmar traditional culture and fine arts and invigorating patriotism, nationalistic fervor and pride was held at Sinphyushin Hall of the transit center in Nay Pyi Taw this morning.
Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and presented the championship trophy to the winner.Present were Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Sein Win and wife, and Lt-Gen Ye Aung and wife, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy)Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife, senior military officers of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and wife, judges, invited guests and servicemen and service-women contestants.
Firstly, Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Prize-presentation ceremony of 18th inter-military performing arts,dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) held with the aim of discovering,protecting and preserving Myanmar traditional culture and fifi ne arts and invigorating patriotism, nationalistic fervor and pride Myo Zaw Thein, Chairman of Psychological Affairs and Public Relations Committee, presented prizes to servicemen and women of No 2 mobile public relations company,which won the first prize in magic show contest (group-wise),No 2 mobile public relations company,which won the first prize in modern music band contest (group-wise),and No 4 mobile public relations company, which won the first prize in Myanmar orchestra playing contest(group-wise); General Mya Tun Oo presented prizes to servicemen and women of Pyantpwasein chorus dance group of No 2 mobile public relations company, which won the first prize in Myanmar traditional cultural (Royal) chorus dance contest,Alaungsithu Mintayagyi-Byaw chorus dance group of No 2 mobile public relations company, which won the first prize in Myanmar traditional cultural (optional) chorus dance, Hlankaeparlae Myanmar Pyay chorus dance group of No 1 mobile public relations company,which won the first prize in Myanmar traditional cultural (ethnic traditional)chorus dance contest; and Vice-Senior General Soe Win presented prizes to servicemen and women of Seintharaphu dramatic performance troupe of No 1 mobile public relations company, which won the first prize in dramatic performance contest (group-wise), and Mapyawwontparthe Kissapanadi play group of No 2 mobile public relations company, which won the first prize in Anyeint contest (groupwise).
Later, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented the championship trophy to No 2 mobile public relations company, which won the championship award of the 18th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance,play and magic show contests.
Next, servicewomen from No 2 Tatmadaw Television Broadcasting Unit performed strummed standard time tune with Myanma orchestera.Sergeant-Substitute Aye Mya Thida from No 4 Mobile Public Relations Company who secured the first prize in old song contest (women)sang the song. Corporal Aung Bo Wan from No 1 Mobile Public Relations Company who grasped the first prize in modern song contest(men) sang the song. Private Aung Myint Oo and Sergeant-Substitute Thet Shwe Sin from No 3 Mobile Public Relations Company who won the first prize in dural dance contest performed best plots of dance. Service women from No 2 Mobile Public Relations Company who snatched the first prize in Myanmar traditional culture (royal choral dancing) choral dancing contest performed Pyantpwarsein choral dancing. Major Tin Htoo and militarymen and militarywomen from No 2 Mobile Public Relations Company who won the first prize in song composing contest performed the song in honour of diamond jubliee. No 2 Mobile Public Relations Company which secured the first prize in magic show (group) contest performed the best magic plots. No 2 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in modern band (group-wise) contest produced skillful and pleasant melodies. No 4 Mobile Public Relations Company which grasped the first prize in Myanma orchestra (group-wise)contest showed off their skillful performance. No 1 Mobile Public Relations Company which snatched the first prize in Anyeint (groupwise)contest performed their best excerpts. Militarymen and militarywomen sang the song representing patriotism and danced collectively.
Afterwards, Warrant Officer II Myint Htwe and Sergeant-Substitute Aye Mya Aung accepted cash awards for militarymen and militarywomen presented by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. On behalf of the judges, adviser U Tin Tun Oo accepted cash awards. Then, the Senior General and party cordially greeted judges, militarymen and militarywomen. Regarding the performing arts, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave necessary guidance.
The second session of prize awarding ceremony followed in the afternoon, attended by Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi, Director of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), senior military officers, veteran maestros, invited guests and contesting militrymen and militarywomen.
Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi, Director of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army),Deputy Director Col Ye Yint Aung,advisers U Tin Tun Oo, Daw San Nu and Daw Than Than Aye, judges U Soe Htut Khaing and U Tin Shwe and officials presented first, second and third prizes as well as special ones to winners militarymen and militarywomen.
Next, on behalf of maestros,adviser U Tin Tun Oo discussed the review of the whole competition of performing arts. Then, Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi presented gifts to the maestros after reviewing of the contests and giving instructions.The Inter-Military Performing Arts, Dramatic Performance, Play and Magic Show Contests have been held with the participation of servicemen and servicewomen from Myawady Fine Arts Troupes and Mobile Public Relations Companies under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) annually. It aims to preserve Myanmar traditional culture and fine arts, foster patriotic spirit based on nationalistic spirit in the soul of the citizens through fine arts, and hand down fine arts heritage from maestros to new generations for correctly developing fine arts qualification of service personnel. This year, a total of 312 servicemen and servicewomen participated in 35 events such as old song, modern songs, stereo songs, Anyeint, dancing, dual dance,drama, modern music band and magic shows of the contests.
