Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing , accompanied by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief(Army), Commander of Central Command Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Lin and members, visited marble tile factory (Mandalay) of Myanma Economic Corporation, dairy cow farming project and construction site of the ancient cannon museum in Mandalay Palace.
At the meeting hall, director of Directorate of Supply and Transport Maj-Gen Zaw Lwin Oo explained breeding of dairy cows, and marble tile factory manager U Zaw Zaw Win, explained operation of the factory. Regarding dairy cow farming, the Senior General called for nurturing skilled workers and production and distribution of high quality dairy products.He also called for production of marble flower vases, bathroom fittings and other modern accessories besides marble floor tiles.
The Senior General and party then looked round the production process at marble tile factory, viewed the display of marble floor tiles produced by the factory, and presented cash awards for factory workers.
They then visited the dairy cow breeding site. An official reported on ongoing operation and future plans. The Senior General stressed the needs.
They then visited the construction site of cannon museum jointly built by Tatmadaw and Mandalay Department of Archaeology and National Museum near Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace. Officials and department director Daw Soe Soe Win explained progress in construction of the cannon museum. In response,the Senior General called for preserving the historic heritage in their original design, and building the museum to be resistant to natural disasters. He also stressed requirements about the displays.
