Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Sun Guoxiang, Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this evening.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China was accompanied by Consul Mrs. Yang Shou Zheng and officials.
Both sides cordially discussed the strengthening of friendship and relations between Myanmar and China by paying serious attention to the Paukphaw relations and strategic bilateral ties, peace and stability in common border area, further co-operation in combating narcotic drugs and illegal trade, China’s total denunciation of terror attacks by AA, TNLA and MNDAA, China’s assistance and support for the efforts and stances of the Myanmar government and Tatmadaw over the armed conflicts termination and the peace process, and continued efforts for further progress in the peace process.
