The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was on a goodwill visit to Japan at the invitation of Chief of Staff, Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defence Forces General Koji YAMASAKI,left Narita Airport in Tokyo of Japan for Myanmar this morning. The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior Generalwas seen off at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Myint Thu, Colonel ISHIWATA of the Ministry of Defence of Japan,Myanmar Military Attaché (Army,Navy and Air) Col Tin Soe and officials.
The Senior General and party arrived back at Yangon International Airport this evening. They were welcomed back by Lt-Gen Min Naung and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Thet Pon, Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA, Military Attaché Col. Takashi KOMATSU and officials. Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) who accompanied the Senior General arrived back on the same flight.
During the goodwill visit, the Myanmar Tatmadaw good will delegation met with officials from Japanese cabinet including Japanese Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Shinzo ABE and the Chief of Staff, Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defence Forces to hold talk on enhancement of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and two armed forces, viewed round process of Japan in uplifting defence capacity and natural disaster preparedness capacity and industries, visited significant places in Tokyo and observed development of urban living system and transport systems.
