Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar,AVSM, VSM, VCNS of the Indian Armed Forces at the Parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman, here, this morning.
Also present together with the Senior General were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and senior military officers. The Vice Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Armed Forces was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Saurabh Kumar and party.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on common land, water and airspace territorial borders of Myanmar and India, situation of good and old friendship countries,exchange of information on security for water territories between the navies of the two countries as both countries are sharing water territories,emphasis of the Myanmar Tatmadaw on cooperation in border region to become a good neighbour for five neighbouring countries, cooperation in upgrading Myanmar Tatmadaw (Navy) to a modern navy, sending of trainees,and matters related to technical sharing in exchanging goodwill visits between the navies of both countries.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Armed Forces exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photo.
