Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Ambassador of Germany to Myanmar H.E. Thomas Kari Neisinger at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this afternoon.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The German ambassador was accompanied by First Secretary Mr. Frank Thierfelder.
Discussion was focused on strengthening of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and between the two armed forces, Myanmar’s political developments, background reasons for Rakhine conflict and Myanmar’s efforts to address the issue in accord with the law, Tatmadaw’s efforts to achieve lasting peace by terminating internal armed conflict, Tatmadaw’s emphasis on the country’s foreign policy such as international relations and non-aliment peaceful co-existence and Tatmadaw’s role in national politics for promoting multi-party democracy and State peace and stability as Tatmadaw is born of the people.
