The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Defense & Security 2019 at IMPACT Exhi-bition Center in Bangkok, Thailand this morning.
Accompanied by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw, the Senior General arrived at IMPACT Exhibition Center, and met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Defence of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander V. FOMIN, who arrived there to attend Defense & Security 2019 at the parlour of IMPACT Exhibition Center.
At the meeting, cordial discussions were centred on further promotion of relations and friendship between the armed forces of the two countries and the continuation of military cooperation.
Together with the armed forces chiefs of Cambodia, Malaysia and Brunei, who are in Thailand to attend Defense & Security 2019, the Senior General met Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Ponpipaat Benyasri. At the meeting, views on cementing of diplomatic relations and friendship and defence and security were exchanged. Afterwards, they posed for documentary photo.
Then, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party viewed round Myanma Tatmadaw exhibition booth at Defense & Security 2019. After that, they viewed military weapons and related items displayed by the different countries at the booths where they were conducted by the officials.
Afterward, chiefs of armed forces from 48 countries and those present viewed round the booths. In the afternoon, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party attended the luncheon hosted by Gen. Ponpipaat Benyasri, Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces.
In the afternoon, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party continued viewing the booths and a total of 454 booths from 45 countries that were on display at the Defense & Security 2019.
