Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Chhouk Bunna, Ambassador of Cambodia to Myanmar, at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this evening.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Cambodian Ambassador was accompanied by Cambodian Military Attaché to Myanmar Col. Keo Cheysothearith and officials.
Both sides cordially discussed strengthening of the bilateral relations as the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries turns 65 in 2020, the Tatmadaw’s respect for Myanmar’s foreign policy such as maintaining friendly relations with all nations and peaceful co-existence without bias, strengthening of cooperation between the two countries and between the two armed forces in the arenas of sports, culture, tourism, trade and economy and others.
After the call, the Senior General and the Cambodian Ambassador exchanged gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with those present.
