Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, hosted a dinner in honour of the Myanmar delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a goodwill tour in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at Army Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, this evening.
Also present at the dinner together with the Senior General were Quartermaster-General Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Counsellor Daw Win Sandar Swe of Myanmar Embassy to Vietnam and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Aung Zeya. The Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army was accompanied by senior military officers of the Vietnamese People’s Armed Forces.
First, the Senior General and Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation were warmly welcomed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and senior military officers. Afterwards, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Senior General extended greetings and made wishes, and enjoyed the dinner together with the attendees.
During the dinner, Vietnamese Armed Forces Entertainment Troupe performed songs and dances of the two countries.
After the dinner, the Senior General and the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army exchanged commemorative gifts.
Later, the Senior General cordially greeted the members of Vietnamese Armed Forces Entertainment Troupe and presented cash awards.
