The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was on a goodwill visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, met with families of the Myanmar Embassy to Vietnam and the Office of the Military Attaché and students learning on scholarship in Vietnam this afternoon. Also present at the ceremony together with the Senior General were members of the Tatmadaw delegation, Myanmar Ambassador to Vietnam U Kyaw Soe Win and wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Aung Zeya and wife, families of the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Military Attaché and scholarship students.
In his address, the Senior General said Myanmar and Vietnam are friendly nations and longterm friends and it is necessary to further cement the relations. The government and the Tatmadaw are continuously trying to achieve development and eternal peace for the country. As economic driving force is essential for the development of the country, it is necessary for all to grasp opportunities for economic cooperation and export and import promotion through the diplomatic means. Public service personnel are required to make efforts for politics and economy in the interest of the country and to build the reputationof the country.
As diplomatic relations are of great importance in interaction among countries, family members of the embassy and the office of the military attaché are required to make concerted efforts as public service personnel and to help the community and tourists who come from Myanmar. It is necessary not only for families of the embassy and the office of the military attaché but also for scholarship students to learn technologies seriously and constantly. In conclusion, the Senior General urged them to live in amity and work in the interest of the country.
Afterwards, the Senior General presented food items, gifts and cash for families of the embassy, the office of the military attaché and scholarship students to the ambassador and wife, the military attaché and wife and members of the families. Then, families of the embassy and the office of the military attaché hosted luncheon to the Senior General and the delegation.
