The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who attended the 30th Anniversary of National Armed Forces Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 75th Founding Anniversary of Vietnam People’s Armed Forces at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff of Vietnam People’s Army Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang left Noi Bai International Airport of Vietnam by air this evening. The Senior General and party were seen off at the airport by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien and officials, Myanmar Ambassador to Vietnam U Kyaw Soe Win, Military Attaché Brig- Gen Aung Zeya and officials. On arrival back at Mingaladon Airbase in Yangon this evening, the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation was welcomed back by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commanderin- Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Thet Pon and senior military officers, Deputy Head of Mission and First Secretary Mr. Le Gia Thinh of Vietnamese Embassy to Myanmar, Vietnamese Assistant Military Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Trung and officials.
Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commanderin-Chief (Army) who accompanied the Senior General also arrived back on the same flight. During the visit, the Senior General attended the 30th Anniversary of National Armed Forces Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 75th Founding Anniversary of Vietnam People’s Armed Forces, met with leaders of the Vietnamese cabinet and the Vietnam People’s Army including Vietnamese Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President of the National Assembly H.E. Mrs.Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to talk about friendly relations between the two countries and enhancement of cooperation, and paid visits to significant places.
