Respect paying ceremony of (15), (16), (17), (18) and (19) Intakes of the Defence Services Academy to former civilian teachers and military instructors who taught academic disciplines and warfare at the Defence Services Academy was held at the Tatmadaw Prayer Hall at the southern staircase of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon this morning. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and paid respect to former teachers and instructors.
On behalf of the graduate officers, Brig-Gen Tin Oo (Retired) explained the purpose of the ceremony according to the agenda and the respect paying message sent by Vice President U Myint Swe was read out by Col Zaw Win (Retired). Afterward, the Senior General read out his respect paying message at the ceremony.
Then, graduate officers of Defence Services Academy Intakes (15), (16), (17), (18) and (19) paid homage to the teachers and instructors in accordance with the tradition. On behalf of the teachers and instructors, Maj-Gen Maung Nyo (Retired) gave a piece of advice to the graduate officers.
Afterwards, graduate officers presented respect paying gifts to the teachers and instructors. Then, the Senior General cordially greeted the teachers and instructors. The teachers and instructors then posed for documentary photos with each intake of graduate officers and had lunch together.
A total of 81 civilian teachers and military instructors attended the respect paying ceremony.
