Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, ADC at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman here this morning.
Also present together with the Senior General were Commanderin- Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and senior military officers from the Office of the Commanderin- Chief (Army). The Indian Naval Chief was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Shri Saurabh, Indian army and naval attachés to Myanmar and officials.
Both sides cordially discussed neighbourliness of Myanmar and India sharing land, water and air territories, situations in which cooperation between the neighbouring and regional countries will contribute to regional peace and Indo-Pacific Region peace and stability, anti-narcotic measures, naval cooperation in humanitarian assistance and disaster response measures and technology sharing.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy exchanged gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with those present.
