The duty of the Tatmadaw is the national defence. As their units are stationed in remote places, Tatmadaw members there should be the ones who can be trustfully assigned duties as the soldiers who are able to control themselves and their unit. They must always strive to improve themselves and their unit. Moreover, they must be indivisible with the people, said Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at his separate meetings with officers, other ranks and families of local unit headquarters in Falam and Homalin Station of North-West Command today.
Also present were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and wives, Commander of North-West Command Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing and wife, and officers, other ranks and families of local unit headquarters in Falam and Homalin.
In his speech, the Senior General said the practice of observing the prescribed rules and proper conducting of the daily and regular works amounts to undergoing training.As their units are stationed in remote places, Tatmadaw members there should be the ones who can be trustfully assigned duties as the soldiers who are able to control themselves and their unit. They must always strive to improve themselves and their unit. They must strive to improve the reputation of their unit.
Non-observance of the rules may invite undesired administrative problems. So, all should observe the rules and discipline and should understand their duty and task.There must be the harmonious chain of command.
As soldiers are the persons who fight and die together in a battle they must have the spirit of camaraderie in carrying out the administrative affairs. The Tatmadaw is safeguarding Our Three Main National Causes and the State Constitution which are the objective requirements of the country.
Public awareness of the Tatmadaw’s mission in the national political affairs must be enhanced. After the meeting, the Senior General presented foodstuff for officers, other ranks and families of the stations and Daw Kyu Kyu Hla cash awards for station maternal and child welfare associations through the respective station commanders and their wives.
Then, Admiral Tin Aung San,General Maung Maung Kyaw and Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung from the Office of the Commanderin- Chief (Army) presented publications, sportsequipment and personal items and foodstuff produced by the Defence Services industries through the officials. The Senior General and wife and party cordially greeted officers, other ranks and families of the stations.
