The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation to attend the Parade to mark the 75th Anniversary Victory Day of Great Patriotic War, called on Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander V.
Fomin at the ministry on the evening of 23 June. The delegation was welcomed there by the Deputy Minister and party.
Also present together with the Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. The Russian Deputy Minister was accompanied by Deputy Director of Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Vladimir Drozhzhov and officials.
Both sides discussed the strengthening of the existing friendship between the two armed forces of the two countries, promoting of military cooperation, Myanmar Tatmadaw’s participation in the Army Games in Russia and continued participation this year.
After the meeting, the Russian Deputy Minister of Defence presented Medal of the Ministry of Defence of Russia for Strengthening the Military Commonwealth awarded by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and Deputy Director of FSMTC of the Russian Federation Vladimir Drozhzhov presented the honorary medal awarded by the Director General of FSMTC. The Senior General accepted the medals.
Then, the Senior General exchanged gifts with the Russian Deputy Minister and the Deputy Director of FSMTC.
