Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of the Netherlands to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Wouter Jurgens, who had completed his tour of duty, at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this afternoon.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Myanmar was accompanied by Second Secretary Ms. Linda van dar Horst.
They friendly exchanged views on plans to further promote existing friendly relations of more than 70 years old diplomatic ties between Myanmar and the Netherlands, efforts of the Tatmadaw for strengthening the path of multiarty democracy chosen by the people, situation of any country in realizing the democracy suitable for them as global countries are practising democracy, Myanmar’s situation to practise the democracy system in line with the history of the State and actual situations, and endeavours of theTatmadaw for ceasing the internal conflicts so as to restore eternal peace.
