Dinner and reception to mark the 76th Anniversary Armed Forces Day were hosted at the square of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw this evening, attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla. While the dinner started, fireworks were set off at the parade ground and Bayintnaung Yeiktha to commemorate the 76th Anniversary Armed Forces Day.
First, the Senior General and wife cordially greeted Deputy Defence Minister of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin and delegation members, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander- in-Chief (Army) Vice- Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Council members and their wives, the Chief Justice of the Union, the Chairman of Constitutional Tribunal, the Chairman of the Union Election Commission, Union ministers and wives, the Union Attorney-General, the Union Auditor-General, the chairman of Union Civil Service Board, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, the governor of the Central Bank and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and wives, Independence Mawgun award winners (first, second and third classes), retired officers from Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), family members of retired Commanders-in- Chief of Defence Services, judges of the Union Supreme Court, members of the Constitutional Tribunal and Union Election Commission, delegations of NCA signatory ethnic armed organizations, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, family members and relatives of Aung San Thuriya title winners, officers and other ranks who won Thura title and other military gallantry medals and their families and relatives, members of people’s militias (transform), people’s militias (original) and border guard central advisory committees, military attachés and officials from foreign military attaché offices, retired ambassadors, directors general and managing directors from various ministries, parade and column commanders who participated in the military parade, retired military officers who served as directors general and managing directors at various ministries, members of War Veteran Organization, retired directors general of Myanmar Police Force, Fire Brigade and Myanmar Red Cross Society, chairs of political parties, artistes who participated in the Tatmadaw commemorative features, winners in the competitions of military marching songs, soldier songs, poems, short stories and novels, Tatmadaw athletes who won awards in international sport events, donors, students from the University for Development of National Races and guests.
Before and during the dinner, musicians from the Myawady Band under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army) entertained the audience with songs and music.
Moreover, a swarm of drones were flying in formation of 76th Armed Forces Day, the map of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the State flag, the flag of the Tatmadaw, the picture of the saluting Chairman of the State Administration Council, the emblem of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air), tanks, warships and helicopters of the Tatmadaw. After the dinner, the Senior General and party presented commemorative baskets of flowers to male and female personnel who took part in the musical performance and cordially greeted the guests. The dinner concluded with a display of fireworks to mark the success of the ceremony. In honour of the 76th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day, the maps of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Nay Pyi Taw Council and states and regions, emblems of the Tatmadaw (Army,Navy and Air) and military commands and warships, helicopters and tanks of the Tatmadaw were featured with colourful lights at the entrance of the compound of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), which were enjoyed with pleasure by the guests to the dinner.
