The opening ceremony of the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security-2021(MCIS-2021) took place at Radisson Hotel in Moscow of the Russian Federation this morning of local standard time, attended by Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Also present at the ceremony were Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, military and civilian leaders, heads of 67 countries, defence ministers, deputy defence ministers, officials and guests.
The Senior General together with those attendees to the con-ference viewed military weapons displayed by Rosoboronexport Company and other companies.
Before the conference, a video clip on a speech delivered by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the 9thMoscow Conference on International Security-2021(MCIS-2021) was presented. Next,the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation made an ope-ning speech.
Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander V.Fomin led the discussions with participation of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Army General Valery GERASIMOV, Colonel General WEI FENGHE from the People’s Republic of China, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Qatar Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammad ALATTIYAH, Minister of Defence of Belarus Viktor KHRENIN, President of the international Committee of the Red Cross Peter MAURER and former President of Afghanistan Khamid KARZAI parti-cipated in the discussions in respective sector while those who could not attend the meeting took part in the discussions through online.
In the second session of the conference, the Senior General discussed the topic with title of the Asia-Pacific Region in the Context of Global Politics.
Next, Deputy Minister of De-fence of Maldives Mr. Hassan ZAMEEL, Minister of National Defence of Vietnam Senior Lie-utenant General PHAN VAN GIANG, Bangladeshi Prime Minister and Minister of Defence H.E. Sheikh AASINA and Minister of Defence of Brunei Darussalam Mr. Halbi YUSSOF participated in the discussions under respective topics. The discussions of the Senior Gene-ral and the press statement of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation will be mentioned separately.
