Rattha Nandaka white ele-phant, born to female elephant Zar Nan Hla of the compound of Myanma Timber Enterprise in Taungup Township of Rakhine State at 6.30 am on 23 July 2022, turned four months today.
Chairman of the State Admini-stration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by the council secretary, the joint secretary, council members and senior military officers, fed white elephants including Rattha Nandaka white elephant and companion elephants at the white elephant shed in the pre-cinct of Nay Pyi Taw Uppatasanti Pagoda this morning.
The Senior General, wife and party were welcomed by Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi and party. The Senior General and wife gave feedstuffs to Rattha Nandaka white elephant (the precious white elephant beloved by the country which will bring prosperoty and happi-ness to the nation) and Zar Nan Hla, Yadana white elephants Baddawady, Nandawady, Ngwe Saddan, Haymawady, Zatakalya and Thirimalar and other companion elephants.
The Senior General asked after health conditions of Rattha Nandaka white elephant and body growth and presented cash assistance for feeding the white elephants and companion elephants from the white elephant shed.
In its birth, Rattha Nandaka white elephant (the precious white elephant beloved by the country which will bring prosperoty and happiness to the nation), the white elephant was two feet and five inches in height, three feet and one inch in girth, with weight of about 180 pounds. The white elephants consist of seven out of eight unique features: pearl-coloured eyes, plantain branch-shaped back, white hair, a distinctive tail, auspicious plot signs on the skin, pinky skin, each limb having five claws and big ears. Now is four months old of the white elephant which is two feet and 11 inches in height and four feet and five inches in girth with 288 pounds of weight. At present, the white elephant lives happily and healthily together with the mother elephant at the Yadana white elephant shed in the precinct of Nay Pyi Taw Uppatasanti Pagoda
