Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, Commander of Central Command Maj-Gen Ko Ko Oo and officials, this afternoon, met with officers, other ranks and families of Magway Station at Thiha Thura Kyin San Hall of the local battalion.
Political progress Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General explained declaration of the state of emergency based on the political trend for situations of the nation and serving the State responsibilities of the Tatmadaw, administrative systems in successive eras, paving of the way for multiparty democracy democratic system by the Tatmadaw and political changes of the nation.
Development of the State needs political, security and legal stability and peace At present, the Tatmadaw is serving the State responsibilities and encouraging local economy. So, the State economy meets remarkable progress. The Senior General stressed the need to ensure stability and peace based on political and security trends for development of the nation. Likewise, it is necessary to restore legal stability. Taking responsibility of the peace and stability of the nation, the Tatmadaw holds meetings with ethnic armed organizations. Security forces are striving for minimizing the terror acts.
Building firm military unity Tatmadaw members need to do everything in systematic ways. It is necessary to encourage those who striving for carrying out systematic military building tasks as well as those in the frontlines to bravely and dutifully serve their assignments. All Tatmadaw members correctly serve their individual assignments as part of defending the State as well as training themselves. Officials need to provide deserved entitlements and rights to each Tatmadaw member. Efforts must be made for having success in military own and manageable scale agriculture and livestock farming tasks. If so, purchase of foodstuffs outside will decline. Funfairs must be held, and awareness must be raised for the Tatmadaw members to exercise vertically mutual respects to emerge the attachment among them so as to strengthen the military unity.
Encouraging education Tatmadaw members need to read literature and hand over good legacy to offspring. They have to exercise systematic lifestyle for improvement of their capacity and life as a good soldier. Likewise, they have to read to broaden their scope and exchange knowledge and experiences at the meetings and listen to others’ experiences. Reading and studying are endless. They have to try hard to have higher learning education and read literature for accumulating knowledge. As the Tatmadaw encourages education promotion of children of the Tatmadaw members, those Tatmadaw members need to support their offspring. Tatmadaw members must uplift their qualification for improvement of their lives.
As the Tatmadaw is an organization do everything under disciplines, it is necessary to sustain existing qualification. Tatmadaw members need to live as good soldier and improve their qualification for improvement of their lives. By uplifting their qualification, they have to dutifully serve their assignments so as to successfully discharge the State duties. Officials need to encourage the mental strength of Tatmadaw members who perform operations and security duties.
Giving foodstuffs and cash awards The Senior General presented foodstuff for Tatmadaw members and families to the station commander, and the wife of the Senior General, gave cash award for the station maternal and child welfare association to the wife of the local Light Infantry Division.
After the meeting, the Senior General cordially greeted the officers, other ranks and families and fulfilled the needs of Tatmadaw members and families.
