In order to further strengthen the friendship between the Russian military and the Myanmar Tatmadaw, the Myanmar Tatmadaw cultural troupe for Myanmar-Russia goodwill relations and the Russian navy orchestra held a concert at the Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri Beikman here this evening, and Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla enjoyed the performance.
Also present at the concert together with the Senior General and wife were the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, the SAC Secretary and wife, the SAC Joint Secretary and wife, SAC members and wives, union ministers and wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, members of the goodwill delegation led by Admiral Nikolai A. EVMENOV, Commander-in- Chief of the Navy of the Russian Federation, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Iskandar Azizov, and officers, other ranks from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and their families.
During the concert, artists from the Myanmar Tatmadaw cultural troupe and the Russian navy orchestra performed.
The Russian navy orchestra performed Russian songs and dances and Myanmar music, while the Myawady music band of the Myanmar Tatmadaw cultural troupe performed Russian songs “Katyusha” and “Kalinka” to the accompaniment of the Myanmar orchestra and Russian dances and a song “Ar Thi Na Si Me Yar”. The Senior General, wife and the audience enjoyed the performances.
After the performances, the Senior General and wife presented the Russian navy orchestra with a bouquet.
Next, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy presented a bouquet to the Myawady music band of the Myanmar Tatmadaw cultural troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare.
Then, the Senior General and wife, senior military officers and the Russian Admiral and his delegation members posed for a documentary photo together with the cultural troupes of the two countries.
