The ceremony to honour the Diamond Jubilee Union Day 2022 was held at Boshukhan Square in Nay Pyi Taw this morning with an address by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing who took the salute of military columns.
Also present were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, SAC Vice ChairmanDeputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than ThanNwe, SAC members General Mya Tun Oo, Admiral Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Mahn Nyein Maung, U TheinNyunt, U Khin Maung Swe,Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Moung Har, U Sai Lone Hsai, Saw Daniel, Dr Banya Aung Moe, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, U Shwe Kyein, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dway, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and their wives, retired generals and Lt-Gens of Tatmadaw, the Union chief justice, the Union Election Commission chairman, Union ministers and their wives, the Union auditor-general, the Union Civil Service Board chairman, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, region and state chief ministers, the governor of Central Bank of Myanmar, the Anti-corruption Commission chairman, senior military officers, SAC Chairman’s advisers, judges of Supreme Court, members of Constitutional Tribunal, UEC members, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and wife, deputy ministers, UCSB members, CBM vice governors, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, cabinet members of region and state governments, ACC members, the vice mayor of Nay Pyi Taw Development Affairs Committee, the vice chairman of Myanmar Human Rights Commission, representatives of seven NCA signatory EAOs, representatives of four NCA non-signatory EAOs, senior departmental officials, senior officers of Nay Pyi Taw Command and stations, representatives of political parties, national races, NGOs and invited guests.
The columns that would salute the Senior General took the respective positions at the square of the venue.
At 7.30 am, the Senior General arrived at the dais of the square. The Artillery troops fired a 21-gun salute in honour of the Senior General. Military columns and attendees also saluted him.
Flanked by flag guards of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and Myanmar Police Force, and ethnic peoples, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing led the flag bearer team that carried the Union Flag on board the decorated Union boat from the city hall to the square. Dr Maung Maung Naing handed over the Flag to Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, the chairman of Diamond Jubilee Union Day Observance Committee.
Then, the Union minister planted the Flag in the silver bowl on the dais of the stage.
The Senior General and the military columns and attendees saluted the Union Flag and recited the Diamond Jubilee Union Day oath.
Afterwards, the Senior General delivered the Diamond Jubilee Union Day address.
The Union minister returned the Flag to the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman.
Flanked by flag guards of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and Myanmar Police Force and ethnic peoples, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman carried back the Flag to the City Hall where it will rests for a year.
Next, the Senior General took the salute of the flag bearer team representing the Tatmadaw (Army), the companies representing the Tatmadaw (Army), Hluttaw, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Home Affairs, the flag bearer team representing the Tatmadaw (Navy), the companies representing the Tatmadaw (Navy), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Myanmar War Veterans Organization, the Tatmadaw (Army)’s military band, the flag bearer team representing the Tatmadaw ( Air Force), the companies representing the Tatmadaw (Air Force), Ministry of Border Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Finance and Ministry of Legislative Affairs, the flag bearer team representing Myanmar Police Force, the companies representing Myanmar Police force, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and the band of Myanmar

Meanwhile, Mi-17 helicopter hanging the State flag from the Gyo Gyar team (1) led by Lt-Col Aung Kyaw Phyo flanked by two eurocopters, four Mi-17 helicopters and three Mi35 Phelicopters hanging flags of the regions and states from the Gyo Gyar team (92) led by Maj Zaw Zaw, three H-120 helicopters and two H-125 helicopters led by Maj Htin Aung Lin, three Y-12 aircrafts from the Arkar team led by Maj Naing Lin, one ART42 transport plane and two Beech 1900D transport planes from the Yan Aung team led by Maj Htet Aung San, five K8W jet fighters from the Ye Marn team led by Maj Win Min Tun emitting a smoke trail of yellow, green and red representing the State flag, four Yak130 jet fighters from the Yakkha team led by Lt-Col Zaw Myint Tun, four F7 jet fighters from the Thurein team led by Lt-Col Htet Aung Khaing, five Mig-29 SE multi-purpose jet fighters from the Yaza team led by Lt-Col Yan Kyaw and five K8W jet fighters from the Ye Marn team emitting a smoke trail of yellow, green and red representing the State flag in a second flight were flying in salute.
To the accompaniment of the vehicles decorated with the emblems, traditions, customsand products of the national races living in Myanmar representing the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, the dance troupe played the song “Union Blood”, the decorated vehicles representing Kachin State and the dance troupe the song “Unforgettable Land”, the decorated vehicles representing Kayah State and the dance troupe the song “Phasi Than”, the decorated vehicles representing Kayin State and the dance troupe the song “Awhu Awhaung”, the decorated vehicles representing Chin State and the dance troupe the song “Towards happy days”, the decorated vehicles representing Sagaing Region and the dance troupe the song “Golden Sagaing Land with triumphs”, the decorated vehicles representing Taninthayi Region and the dance troupe the song “Progressive Taninthayi”, the decorated vehicles representing Bago Region and the dance troupe the song “It’s called Bago”, the decorated vehicles representing MagwayRegion and the dance troupe the song “A beautiful Anyar land”, the decorated vehicles representing Mandalay Region and the dance troupe the song “Come to the Mandalar land,” the decorated vehicles representing Mon State and the dance troupe the song “Harmonious steps forward”, the decorated vehicles representing Rakhine State and the dance troupe the song “Nawa Yupa Byala”, the decorated vehicles representing Yangon Region and the dance troupe the song “Bamar Hey Bamar, blood of the Union,” the decorated vehicles representing Shan State and the dance troupe the song “Naung Inlay”, the decorated vehicles representing Ayeyawady Region and the dance troupe the song “Ma Ma Pathein Thu”, and the decorated vehicles representing Nay Pyi Taw Council and the dance troupe the song “U Shwe Yo and Daw Moe”. The five Mig-29 SM multi-purpose jet fighters from the Yaza team led by Lt-Col Kyaw Aung were flying in arrow form and fan beak form firing flares firecrackers in salute.
Meanwhile, 1,100 high-school students from Zabuthiri and Pyinmana townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area beautifully formed the names of the Union territory and regions and states.
After the celebration, the Senior General waved to those present and left the parade ground.
Later, the Senior General and wife cordially waved to the decorated vehciles anddance troupes representing the regions and states.
