NAY PYI TAW March 27
The Parade of the 77th Anniversary Armed Forces Day took place at Nay Pyi Taw military parade ground on 27 March morning with an address by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing.
Military personnel of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), female parade company of the Tatmadaw (Army), members of Myanmar Police Force and female parade company of MPF in columns which would participate in the parade ceremony took positions at the Thittat parade ground and participate in it on the parade agenda.
First, the Bagpipe Band and the Central Military Band took the designated position in the parade ground. Mechanized companies representing Directorate of Artillery, Directorate of Missiles, Directorate of Tanks, Office of Chief of Air Defence Troops, Directorate of Military Engineers, and Office of Commander-in-Chief (Navy) led by column commander Brig- Gen Kyaw Swa Tun of mechanized column, took the designated positions.
Then, the flag bearers led by Parade Commander Maj-Gen Ye Kyaw Thu, followed by Anawyahtar Column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Moe Zaw Tun comprising guard of honour, the parade companies representing the Directorate of Military Engineers, Office of Chief of Air Defence Troops, Directorate of Tanks, Directorate of Ordnance, Coastal Region Command, Yangon Command (column 1), Office of Chief of Military Training.
Kyansittha column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Zaw Paing Tun comprising Guard of Honour, parade companies representing Directorate of Signals, Office of Chief of Military Equipment Production, Directorate of Medical Services, Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, South-West Command, Yangon Command (column 2) and Northern Command.
Bayintnaung column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Thein Htoo, comprising guard of honour, parade companies of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Office of Commanderin- Chief (Navy) (column 1) and (column 2), Nay Pyi Taw Command, Western Command, Central Command (column 1), Eastern Command (column 1).
Aung Zeya column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Kyi Khaing comprising guard of honour, parade companied representing Office of Commander- in-Chief (Army) (female column), Office of Commanderin- Chief (Army) (female column 1), Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) (female column 2), Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) (female column 3), Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) (female column 4), Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) (female column 5), Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) (female column 6).
Hsinbyushin column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Zaw Win Tun comprising guard of honour, parade companies representing Office of Commander- in-Chief (Air), Ofice of Commander-in-Chief (Air) (columns 1 and 2), East Central Command, Southern Command, Central Command (column 2), Eastern Command (column 2).
Bandoola column led by Column Commander Brig-Gen Zaw Myint Oo comprising guard of honour, airborne parade company, parade companies representing Directorate of Artillery, Directorate of Supply and Transport, Triangle Region Command, North-East Command, North-West Command, South-East Command.
The Aung San column led by column commander Police Brigadier General Lu Lu Than comprising the guard of honour company led by, the parade company representing Myanmar Police Force (Women), the parade companies (1) and (2) representing MPF (Women), and the parade companies (1), (2), (3) and (4) representing MPF (Men), together with the military bands marched towards the parade ground, according to the agenda.
Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of SAC Chairman Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Daw Than Than Nwe, wife of SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander- in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, wives of the SAC members, wives of the Union ministers and wives of the senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief decorated them with garlands.
Similarly, officers, other ranks and their families from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and various stations, artistes and local residents accorded welcome to and decorated them with garlands.
Tatmadaw members and MPF members from the parade columns marched towards the parade ground by singing military songs with full patriotic spirit and took their positions on the ground.
Next, the Special Task Force (Women)’s parade company led by Captain Daw May Myat Mu and the Special Task Force of the Tatmadaw (Navy) parade company led by Major Pyo Maung Maung Win marched toward the parade ground and took position.
The military parade of the 77th Anniversary Armed Forces Day was attended by SAC members, secretary and joint secretary, the Union Chief Justice, the chairman of Constitutional Tribunal, the chairman of the Union Election Commission, Union ministers, the Union Attorney-General, the chairman of the Union Civil Service Board, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, the governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, the chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission, the chairman of Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, family members of the Thirty Comrades, family members of the retired Commanders-in-Chief of Defence Services, retired Tatmadaw senior officers, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), Independence Mawgun First, Second and Third Class Award winners, the judges of the Union Supreme Court, judges of the Union supreme court, members of Constitutional Tribunal and UEC members, advisers, deputy ministers, retired Tatmadaw member ambassadors, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, military attachés and officials from foreign missions, representatives from the armed ethnic groups who have signed the NCA, chairmen and officials from the political parties, families and relatives of Aung San Thuriya title winners, officers and other ranks who were awarded Thura titles and gallantry medals and their families and relatives, members of the People’s Militia (Transform), members of the People’s Militia (original) and Border Guard Central Advisory Group, directors general and managing directors of respective ministries, retired Tatmadaw who serves as directors general or managing directors of respective ministries, members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization, retired directors general from Myanmar Police Force, Myanmar Fire Brigade and Myanmar Red Cross Society, officials from YMBA, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, Myanmar Interfaith Group (Central), artistes who participated in movies honouring the Tatmadaw, winners in the marching and military songs, poem, short story and novel contests, Tatmadaw athletes who won medals in international sports events, donors of the Armed Forces Day, officials from Myanmar Press Council, film, music and Thabin organizations and the Military Strategy Studies, students from University for Development of National Races, members of the University Training Corps, instructors and trainees from marine youth training course and aviation youth training course, invited guests and local and foreign media.
SAC Chairman Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing arrived at the parade ground and took position at the dais taking the salute of the Tatmadaw members and MPF members. Next, he inspected the military parade columns.
Then, the Senior General and columns of military personnel and members of the MPF saluted the State Flag and fallen personnel and took the Four Oaths in chorus.
Afterwards, the Senior General delivered a speech.( The complete speech will be published later.)
Then, columns of military personnel and members of the police led by Parade Commander Maj-Gen Ye Kyaw Thu saluted the Senior General in military procession according to the agenda and left the parade ground.
Meanwhile, the Senior General was saluted in flypasts by two MI 17 transport helicopters bearing the flags of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Tatmadaw, three H-120 helicopters and two H-125 helicopters performing the Composite Arrow Head Formation, three Y-12 transport aircraft performing the Vic Formation, one maritime patrol aircraft and two BEECH 1900D transport aircraft performing the Composite Vic Formation, three K-8 light attack aircraft and two Yak-130 light attack aircraft performing the Composite Arrow Head Formation, five K-8 W light attack aircraft performing the Arrow Head Formation and emitting yellow, green and red smoke representing the State Flag, one Fokker 70 transport aircraft and two MiG-29 multi-role attack aircraft performing the Composite Vic Formation, five Yak-130 light attack aircraft performing the Arrow Head Formation, five K-8 W light attack aircraft performing the Arrow Head Formation and emitting yellow, green and red smoke representing the State Flag for the second time, five F-7 interceptor aircraft performing the Arrow Head Formation and five MiG-29 multirole fighter aircraft performing the Fan Break Formation for the second time and displaying firework.
Afterwards, the Senior General cordially greeted the guests and left the parade groundand the parade marking the 77th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day (2022) successfully concluded.
At the Nay Pyi Taw Parade Ground, where the 77th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day parade took place, was graced with the statues of three kings who established the first, second and third Myanmar empire, the beacon of the Armed Forces Day and the emblem commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day and colourful flags bearing the badges of the Burma Independence Army, the Burma Defence Army, the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), the directorates of of the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army),
regional commands, light infantry divisions and battalions and units were seen fluttering.
Moreover, posters depicting the activities of the personnel from the Tatmadaw(Army, Navy and Air) that can vitalize and inspire patriotism and national pride were erected along the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway and at the Pinglaung Junction while signboards of the mottos of theTatmadaw were displayed in Myanmar and English languages along the road in front of the parade ground in honour of the 77th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day.
