Chairman of State Administr-ation Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Foreign Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs of India, at his office here this afternoon.
At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on promotion of cooperation in the ongoing joint undertakings to ensure peace and stability at the common border, defence cooperation, further strengthening of bilateral relations, cemen-ting of cooperation in agro-technology, increase in trade and investment, Kaladan River Project and development of direct maritime trade, border area development project, enhance-ment of border area developm-ent project, acceptance of rupee and kyat for settling trade tra-nsactions, SAC’s assumption of State duties in accord with the 2008 Constitution due to vote rigging in 2020 election, progress made in accord with fivepoint roadmap, Myanmar’s end-eavours to maintain good relations with the international community including the neighbours.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Indian Foreign Secretary exchanged commem-orative gifts.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General was SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo. The Foreign Secretary was accompanied by Ambassador of India H.E. Mr. Shri Saurabh Kumar.
