The opening ceremony of 2023 Diamond Jubilee Independence Day variety dance show, sponsored by Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Organizing Steering Committeewith the aim of ensuring pleasure and understanding the essence of independence, at the open air theatre at the Nay Pyi Taw City Hall here this evening. Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla enjoyed the show.
Also present were the SAC Secretary and wife, the Joint Secretary and wife, SAC members and their wives, Union level officials and their wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commanderin- Chief and their wives, deputy ministers and their wives, heads of departments of ministries and office organizations, officers, employees and families and the public.
The Senior General and wife arrived at the venue at 6.30 pm and were welcomed by officials.
The show was staged in accord with the program, which included, the program to honour Independence Day produced by directors Kyaw Zaw Lin (Atwayponyeik), Waing and Tin Maung Hsan Min Win, Thonpanchi Thonpanhla (senior maiden) staged by artistes of Thabin Asiayon, songs sung by vocalists Kaytu Win Htut, Than Myat Soe, Shwe Htaik a choral in honour of the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day performed by vocalists and artistes of film, music and drama, and a variety of songs performed by vocalists Htoo Aal Lin, Zin Thuza Tun, Zin Thu Thu Tun, Mintha Lay.
The program also included a stage performance “A rendezvous” of Myanmar Motion Picture Association staged by Director Ko Thet, a comedian talent contest, songs staged by vocalists Pu Su, Waing Lamin Aung, Hta, L Hsai Zi, Shwe Yamin Oo, Myanmar Pyay Thein Dan and team, a musical show staged by Amaymya Team, a drama “a house of happiness” staged by Director Ko Zaw (Aryon Oo), a play of Myanmar Thabin Asiayon staged by Soe Thabin of MonState, and program honouring Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.
The Senior General and wife presented flower basket and honorary cash awards to artistes and cordially greeted them.
The variety dance show is being staged on a grand scale and national level for public enjoyment and for understanding the essence of independence. It is the first and the biggest show to relieve the public from the stress caused by COVID-19. Civil servants and artistes are staging the show in all seriousness and goodwill for the nation and people. It will continue till 30 November between 6.30 pm and 11 pm daily.
