Proper preparations against natural disasters can minimize loss and damage

With regard to forest coverage in Myanmar, the press release in 2020  entioned it is necessary to gradually decline 42.19 percent of forest coverage in Myanmar. In accord with the motto: Season and climatic conditions depend on forest, it is necessary to conserve forests in order to ensure favorable weather.

Deforestations are based on cutting forests, expansion of public residential areas and extraction of underground natural resources. Likewise, growing world’s population, heat from human and animal as well as factories,  industries and vehicles cause climate change, resulting in floods, inundation, storms and droughts in many countries including Myanmar. Although natural disasters cannot be avoided, proper preparations can minimize loss and amage.

Chuuk town in central Myanmar was involved in the world’s hottest cities this summer. Although emphasis has been placed in arid regions since 20 years, it is necessary to supervise growing of trees and conservation.

So, supervision is being conducted for systematic undertaking of dry zone greening tasks. It is necessary to grow trees and perform conservation as well as undertake environmental conservation with more functions of proper flow of water and prevention of floods.

If officials inspect proper flow of water in rivers and creeks, floods and  nundation will not occur. In this regard, man matters most as human creates environment better or worse.

If not, people can face bad impacts of extreme extraction of natural forest resources without disciplines.

The Senior General stressed the need to accept the concept to adore forests and forge the spirit to thrive all planted trees. As good start can see good result, systematic cultivation and conservation of trees can leave the fine legacy for new generations with a lush and green environment.

Now, individuals are enjoying fruits of growing trees since 2011. Hence, it is necessary to systematically grow trees to thrive so as to hand over a lush and green environment and fine weather to new generations.
