Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner in honour of the 77th Anniversary of Union Day 2024 at the square of the city hall of Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
On arrival at the square of the Nay Pyi Taw city hall where the honorary dinner will be hosted, the Senior General and wife were welcomed by SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sihu Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Union Election Commission Chairman U Ko Ko and wife, Union ministers and their wives, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and wife.
The Senior General and wife, and the Vice-Senior General and wife greeted ethnic traditional cultural troupes from regions and states, chairmen and representatives of political parties, NCA signatory Ethnic Armed Group leaders and representatives, economic ministers and ethnic affairs ministers of regions and states, MSME businesspersons, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, Union ministers, Union level dignitaries and their wives, SAC members and their spouses, the Council Secretary and wife.
The Senior General and wife viewed fireworks launched in honour of the 77th Anniversary of Union Day 2024 together with the attendees to the dinner.
The Senior General and wife had dinner together with all attendees.
Before and during the dinner, vocalists from the modern band of MRTV performed songs.
After the dinner, the Senior General and wife together with guests enjoyed dances of artistes from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and traditional ethnic cultural troupes at the open-air theatre of the city hall.
The entertainment comprised Union song and performance presented by artistes from the Fine Arts Department, and traditional ethnic songs by Kachin,
Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Bamar, Mon, Rakhine and Shan ethnic traditional dance troupes and the song “perpetual Union” by artistes from the Fine Arts Department and ethnic traditional cultural troupes.
The Senior General and wife presented the flower basket to the ethnic traditional cultural troupes after the entertainment and cordially greeted them.
The dinner was attended by the SAC Secretary and wife, the Joint Secretary and wife, council members and their wives, members of the SAC Central Advisory Board, retired senior military officers, union ministers, union-level dignitaries and their wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, advisers to the SAC Chairman, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy ministers, economic and ethnic affairs ministers of regions and states, leaders and representatives from NCA signatory EAOs, chairmen and representatives of political parties, MSME businesspersons, ethnic cultural groups from regions and states and guests.
