Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by their entourage and officials, paid obeisance to Swe Taw Myat Pagoda (Mandalay) at the Maha Dhammaranthi hill near Shardawlay Village in Amarapura Township in Mandalay District in Mandalay Region this morning.
First, the Senior General and wife and party were welcomed by members of the pagoda board of trustees. Then, they paid obeisance to the pagoda and offered flowers, water and lights to Buddha images before presented cash donations for all-round development of the pagoda to members of the pagoda board of trustees.
Afterward, the Senior General and party paid obeisance to the upper left scared tooth relic enshrined in the pagoda. Then, the Senior General and party walked round the pagoda clockwise and inspected maintenance tasks for the pagoda before giving instructions on magnificence and maintenance tasks of the pagoda.
Afterward, the Senior General, wife and the party paid obeisance to Presiding Nayaka State Ovada Cariya Abhidhaja Maha Ratha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamajotika Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Vicarinandavivamsa and asked after the health of the Sayadaw before giving instructions to official to provide the needs of the Sayadaw.
Then, the Senior General and wife offered bird’s nests, nutritional suppliment, cash donations to the Sayadaw.
