SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects Western Yangon University, Western Yangon Technological University

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his entourage, the commander of Yangon Command and officials, this afternoon inspected Western Yangon University and Western Yangon Technological University.

On arrival at Western Yangon University, the Senior General and party inspected dredging of a lake with 665 feet in length, 110 feet in width and five feet in depth in front of the four storey main lecture building, greening landscaping around the lake, filling water into the lake and installation of water foundations with the use of solar power, paving the pedestrian along the bund, beautification process in the university. The Yangon Region Chief Minister, the Yangon Mayor and the Rector of the university explained all work processes to the Senior General.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General gave guidance on systematic drainage measures to be taken on the university campus in monsoon season, cleaning and beautification of the university and better landscaping process.

Western Yangon Technological University

At Western Yangon Techno logical University, the Senior General and party inspected progress of new lecture hall on the campus. Rector Dr Kyi Soe, the Yangon Region Chief Minister and officials conducted the Senior General and party round the construction site.

In his response to the reports, the Senior General stressed the need to emphasize cleaning and beautifying the environment of the university with the better landscape. It is necessary to consider the long-term plan for construction of the car park, student hostels and supporting halls as well as lecture halls and other main halls. The Senior General also pointed out that it is necessary to emphasize construction of the pedestrians, a sports court and recreation centres on the campus in conformity with number of students.
