Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by their entourage and officials, paid obeisance to the Swe Taw Myat Pagoda (Yangon) built on Dhamma Pala hill in Mayangone Township in Yangon Region this morning.
First, the Senior General, wife and party were welcomed by the pagoda board of trustees and the Senior General and party paid obeisance and offered flowers, water and lights to the pagoda.
Then, the Senior General and wife presented cash donations of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) to the members of the pagoda board of trustees, who returned Dhamma Gifts to the Senior General and wife.
Then, the Senior General and party paid obeisance to the sac[1]red tooth relic and the Senior Gneral signed the guests’record.
Afterward, the Senior General and party walked round the pagoda counter clockwise, inspected the all-round renovation of the pagoda and gave instructions on cleanliness and renovation of the pagoda.
Then, the Senior General tolled the bell at the pagoda.
Afterward, the Senior General and wife and party paid obeisance to Rector of the International Theravada Buddha Sasana Missionary University Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Suddhaa Jotika Dhaja Maha Dhamma Kathina Dr Bhaddanta Cekanda and supplicated matters related to flourishing of the Buddha Sasana and listened to summon of the Sayadaw.
Afterward,the Senior General and wife donated offerings and cash donations to the Sayadaw.
