Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, along with Joint Secretary of the Council General Ye Win Oo, Council members, Union Ministers, and officials, visited Naypyitaw State Academy and Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory, this morning to inspect the facilities.
First, the Senior General and his entourage arrived at Naypyitaw State Academy. They inspected the trees planted during the 2024 first rainy season planting ceremony, checked the progress of the construction of the graduation hall and classrooms, and provided instructions on maintaining cleanliness and beauty within the university campus to ensure that students can learn in a peaceful and enjoyable environment.
Following this, the Senior General and party arrived at Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University, where they observed the condition of the trees planted during the 2024 second rainy season planting ceremony, the ongoing construction of buildings, and a football field.
The Senior General also listened to the presentations of the responsible personnel and gave necessary instructions.
Subsequently, the Senior General and party visited the Nay Pyi Taw Buddha Gaya Thatta Thattaha Maha Bawdi Pagoda, where they paid homage to the sacred Buddha image, offered flowers and water, and donated funds for the all-round renovation of the pagoda. An official from the pagoda board of trustees accepted the donations.
They then visited the photo gallery documenting the middle path of the Buddha’s journey and observed the surroundings.
The Senior General then went round the pagoda in a clockwise direction and struck the peace bell.
Next, the Senior General and party visited Musaleinda Lake and Nagayon Pagoda, the Isipatana Migadawon Forest, where the Buddha delivered his first sermon, and the Ingyin Forest, where the Buddha attained Nirvana. They observed the conditions at the monastery buildings and the Dhammayon, inspected the conditions, and instructed responsible persons to ensure that the grounds remain clean and beautiful, the pagoda and other structures are properly maintained for long-term preservation, and the cleanliness of the monasteries is maintained. The Senior General also provided guidance on repairing the damaged ceilings and floors in the Dhammayon and other necessary instructions.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party visited Waziyananda Thubawdayon Monastery and Waziya Dhamma JotikaTemple. At the temple, they offered flowers, water, and oil lamps to the sacred Buddha image. They paid homage to Sayadaw Vinayadara Ubatawvibinga Kawvida Sasanadhaja Siripavara Dhammacariya Bhaddanta Zawtivara, and inquired about the conditions of the student monks and the needs of the monastery.
Then, the Senior General offered alms and made a cash donation.
