A delegation to the 8th Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement led by Chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) General Yawd Serk paid a courtesy call on Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the parlour of Bayintnung Yekitha in Nay Pyi Taw this morning.
Also present at the call with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and senior military officers while the chairman of the RCSS was accompanied by officials.
During the call, they frankly discussed the need to hold talks for regional and national stability, steps firmly taken by the government and the Tatmadaw on the path of the NCA, measures taken for strengthening the multi-party democracy system, conducting a pilot population census this year and preparations to hold an election after conducting a population census in the entire country in the upcoming year and the need to move forward along the path of the NCA for the stability of the country.
