Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects construction of Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Centre

    Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by members of his entourage, the chief minister of Shan State, the commander of the Eastern Command and officers, inspected the construction of the Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Centre in Aye Tharyar in Taunggyi in Shan State this morning.

First, the Senior General and party was welcomed by responsible officials.

First, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs reported to the Senior General on objectives of the construction of the centre, location and area of the project, tasks being carried out under the Lancang-Mekong special fund and the government budget and progress of construction tasks at the meeting hall.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General gave instructions on systematic construction of entrance and exit roads to and from the centre, cleanliness and pleasantness of its environs, the needs to make preparations for catering and accommodation of trainees when courses are conducted and other requirements.

Then, the Senior General and party inspected the progress of construction tasks of the center and gave instructions on construction of the center in accordance with construction standards, timely completion, meeting construction standards and other requirements.

The Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Centre has been under construction since 2022 with the aims of conducting vocational training courses to enhance the socioeconomic lives of residents in Shan State, enabling ethnic groups to exchange their traditions and cultures, contributing to stabilities, the rule of law and development in ethnic areas and bridging development gaps among countries in Mekong region.
