A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing departs to attend the summits in the People’s Republic of China

A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing departed from Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport on a special Myanmar Airways International (MAI) flight this morning. The delegation is set to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit, 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and 11th Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit at the invitation of Government of the People’s Republic of China.

The delegation led by the Senior General, was seen off at the airport by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the SAC Secretary and members, Union Ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chair, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Myanmar and officials.

Accompanying the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, chief ministers and officials from Tanintharyi Region, Yangon Region, and Ayeyawady Region, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Deputy Ministers, as well as military and civilian officials.

During the trip, the Senior General will attend summits, hold meetings with officials of the People’s Republic of China, and visit landmarks, universities, factories, and industries.

Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and officials of the delegation will conduct work-related discussions according to their respective sectors. Additionally discussions will focus on strengthening the friendship between the governments and peoples of the two countries and advancing cooperation in the economy and various sectors.

The delegation led by the Senior General arrived at the international airport in Kunming, China, in the morning local time.

Myanmar Ambassador to China U Tin Maung Swe, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Ms. Ma Jia ,Military Attaché (Army, Navy, and Air) Commodore Zaw Zaw Naing, Standing Committee member of the Chinese Communist Party Mr. Yang Yalin and officials, along with Chinese Traditional Culture Groups warmly welcomed the delegation by waving the flags of both countries and presenting bouquets and traditional dances.
