Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held discussions with Member of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Province Committee H.E. Mr. Wang Ning at a parlour of the Haigeng Hotel in Kunming this evening.
First, the Senior General and party were warmly welcomed by the central committee member and secretary of the province party committee and they posed for documentary photographs.
During the discussions, the party central committee member and secretary of the province party committee extended greetings by saying that the Senior General and party were warmly welcomed from Yunnan Province and discussed development of the province, measures taken for economic growth, economic and diplomatic exchanges between Yunnan Province of China and Myanmar,
promotion of cooperation by building a community between the two countries through thick and thin, collaboration for combat against transnational crimes and efforts made for timely implementation of projects already agreed by the two countries.
Then, the Senior General expressed thanks for warm welcome and hospitality from Yunnan Province and said the diamond jubilee of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be celebrated soon and the two countries have maintained deep positive relations and have been good neighbourly countries. As the both countries have inseparable relations, ties between Yunnan Province and Myanmar are inseparable and will promote cooperation.
Afterward, the Senior General discussed the needs to place emphasis on stability of border areas and to accelerate cooperation for stability of border areas so that export and import trade can be conducted, potentials for cooperation between the two countries for investment in the agriculture and livestock breeding sector as Myanmar has many favourable resources to fulfill requirements of food and basic needs amid population increase in the world, invitation for investments in industries based on agriculture, livestock breeding, renewable forest resources, readiness of Myanmar to promote cooperation in sectors including the education, health and culture sectors and continued cooperation for security of bilateral exchanges.
Afterward, they cordially exchanged views on promotion of economic cooperation between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, coordination for stability of border areas, promotion of cooperation in the investment, trade and electricity generation sectors and training for human resources development.
Also present at the discussions together with the Senior General were Joint Secretary of the SAC General Ye Win Oo, senior officials and officials on tour of the Senior General while the party central committee member and secretary of Yunnan Province Party Committee was accompanied by the Myanmar ambassador to China, members of the standing committee and officials.
After the discussions, the Senior General and the party central committee member and the secretary of the province party committee exchanged gifts.
Then, the Senior General and party enjoyed the dinner hosted by the member of the party central committee and the secretary of the province party committee.
