Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing today held talks with prime ministers who were going to attend summits including the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program (GMS)Summit that will be held in Kunming, PRC.
This morning, Senior General met Cambodian Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Hun Manet and party at Green Lake Hotel and Lao Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Sonexay Siphandone and party at Hualuxe Kunming Hotel at separate meetings.
At the meetings views on promotion of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Cambodia and Laos, political changes in Myanmar and latest developments, undertakings to hold and free and fair multi-party general elections, Myanmar’s best efforts for cooperation in ASEAN, situation of Myanmar’s participation in ASEAN summits, the requirement of a peaceful means in addressing Myanmar’s problems and utmost assistance to be provided by Cambodia and Laos, matters relating to friendship and diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Cambodia and Laos, bilateral promotion of trade, investments, tourism, social sectors and cultural sectors were cordially exchanged.
The meetings concluded with the cordial greeting sessions between the Senior General and the PMs of Cambodia and Laos and attendees.
