Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Prime Minister, who arrived in Chongqing, the People’s Republic of China, met with Mr. Yuan Jiajun, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee at the lobby of Yuzhou Hotel today evening.
First, the Chairman of the SAC, the Prime Minister and members were warmly greeted by Mr. Yuan Jiajun and they took documentary photos.
They then engaged in an open discussion on the development progress of Chongqing City, located at the heart of the People’s Republic of China, and the status of Myanmar-Chongqing economic cooperation following the SAC Chairman’s visit to Chongqing. The conversation also covered the prospects for continued cooperation based on technical advantages and the road communication hub, as well as potential collaboration in science and technology, cultural exchanges, education, and tourism development between the two regions.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Secretary of the Council, General Ye Win Oo, and senior officers and officials and the Ambassador of Myanmar to China. Along with the secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar and officials attended.
After the meeting, the Chairman of the SAC, the Prime Minister and Chongqing Municipal Party Committee secretary warmly greeted the attendees.
After that, it was reported that the Chairman of the SAC, the Prime Minister, and members had dinner together hosted by the secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee.
The Senior General and party will continue to go on inspection tours to landmarks, factories, workshops and universities in the People’s Republic of China.
