Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by H. E. Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which paid a courtesy call on the Senior General at the credential hall of the Office of the Chairman of the SAC this morning.
Also present together with the Senior General were Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe and members General Mya Tun Oo and U Wunna Maung Lwin of the SAC, Chairman U Ko Ko of the Union Election Committee, union ministers Dr Kan Zaw, Dr Thida Oo, U Tin Oo Lwin and officials and the deputy chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was accompanied by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov and delegation members.
They frankly exchanged views on growing long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, exchanges of friendly visits by senior officers from the two countries, the firm stance of the Russian Federation concerning Myanmar political developments in the international area, Myanmar’s strong position on political developments in the Russian Federation, preparation for free and fair elections in Myanmar, arrangements to invite election observers from the Russian Federation, cooperation in the legal sector, ex-changes in religious and cul tural matters, cooperation in the youth affairs, expansion of tourism and mutual trade, enhancement of technical cooperation in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors, production of fertilizer for agriculture, cooperation for industrial development and enhancement of cooperation in the electricity, manufacturing, energy and other sectors.
After the discussions, the Senior General and the deputy chairman exchanged gifts and posed for group documentary photographs.
